Perhaps you will be inspired to try a new technique, style, or color scheme found in one of the wonderful books in the PPQG Library. Or perhaps you will find your inspiration in books found on the shelves of another library. Or maybe there is something else, some other inspiration lurking between the stacks that will challenge you to do something new and different.
For those interested we offer a Challenge within the Challenge: Can we come up with eight quilts that express the theme and represent our talented guild in the American Quilter’s Society’s Ultimate Guild Challenge? To be considered for this part of the challenge, quilts must be between 30 and 60 inches wide and 30 and 60 inches long, original in design, clearly represent the theme, and have been completed since May 1, 2005. The eight quilts will be selected by a vote of the PPQG members, photos submitted to AQS, and, if accepted, these PPQG quilts will be displayed at the AQS Quilt Expo Show in Nashville, August 20-23, 2008. For more about the Ultimate Guild Challenge and Expo go to: http://www.americanquilter.com/shows_contests/nashville/2008/pdf/08-nashville-rules.pdf |
As always our primary goal is to have a fun, non-judged, show where everyone from beginners to masters feels welcome, challenged and appreciated, so please, start thinking. What can you find in the library?
