LIZA PRIOR LUCY
Workshop: Thursday, August 28, 2003 -- 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Suzani – Students will be working with very close
monochromatic tones and circular shapes to develop their own
versions of the Suzani quilt. The class will focus on color
development, simple piecing, and an innovative method of machine
appliqué using bias binding. This is a class for intermediate
quilt makers.
The Suzani quilt is illustrated on pages 22, 23 and 82 of Passionate Patchwork, which Liza Prior Lucy co-authored with Kaffe Fassett.
At $55 this workshop will probably sell out quickly -- make your reservation as soon as possible.
August's lecture will NOT be on the usual third Friday. Instead it will be on Wednesday evening, August 27, 2003 at 7 PM .
Titled: Glorious Color -- Liza Prior Lucy will talk about her collaborative work with Kaffe Fassett, and talk about their colors and color inspirations. She will have many of the quilts created with Kaffe Fassett, plus slides.
