Signup
& Cancellation Policy for Workshops
SPEAKERS
AND WORKSHOPSREGISTRATION
Signup
on a sheet merely indicates the intent to register, actual
registration requires payment. For multiple-day workshops,
registrations made more than nine months in advance may be held
by a 30 percent deposit. However, full payment must be made
six months before the event in order to secure a reservation.
WORKSHOPS FEES
Fees
for each workshop are kept as low as possible to ensure maximum
benefit for members. One-day workshops are based on a
minimum of 10 people, multiple-day workshops are based on
minimums of 10 to 16 participants at the discretion of the
Program Committee.
CANCELLATIONS
- PPQG
reserves the right to cancel a workshop if enrollment is
low, and would result in a loss to the Guild.
- Speakers
and instructors must be given at least 30 days notice in
the event PPQG must cancel an event, and some instructors
require contracts with longer cancellation periods.
Therefore, it is important that we fill workshops,
especially multi-day workshops, well in advance.
- Workshop
registrants who cancel 45 days or more before the
workshop will receive full refunds, (unless an
earlier cancellation date is advertised in the workshop
information. Such earlier dates may occur when
instructors require contracts with longer than usual
cancellation periods.)
- Registrants
who cancel less than 45 days before the workshop will forfeit
25% of their fee.
- Registrants
who cancel less than 30 days before the workshop will forfeit
100% of their fee if their cancellation brings the
enrollment below the break-even point for that workshop. To
receive a 75% refund a canceling member needs to find
a substitute, and should contact a member of the program
committee to see if there is a waiting list for that
workshop.
- In
order to ensure full participation in workshops, and make
our instructors available to as many members as possible,
a member may place her name and phone number on a waiting
list at no cost. Members registering on a waiting
list must realize that most cancellations come at the
last minute when a registered person is unable to attend.
